The summer always creeps up on us and BAM, now we have so many questions about our summer skin and how to protect it. Before you go spending unnecessary amounts of money playing Russian roulette with your skin, let’s see if I can read your mind?

Hot Showers or Cold Showers?
A: My personal answer is Lukewarm. No, you don’t want a hot shower on a hot day but you also wanna be cool. Combining a cooling product (cucumber based, minty) would help with feeling refreshed. But you want your pores to be open to better moisturize for a last lasting feel all day!

Is protecting your lips really that serious?
A. UHHHH hell yeah! Lips actually deal with the most exposure to harmful rays from the sun. Invest in a lip balm and scrub to help buff away dead old skin and the balm to protect and seal (Note: Stay away from petroleum jelly, high-shine lip gloss and baby oil.

Should I drink more water?
A: Was Obama president? Of course, especially if you’re like me, and you like yo water frozen in cubes with some liquor! Lol Your skin can’t do nothing with just liquor, juice or in some cases nothing. Your losing hydration quicker in the summer so please remember to stay hydrated

Will what I eat help my skin this summer?
A: Absolutely, you wanna consume things that are high in Vitamin C & E!
Recommendation: Foods that have vitamin C-rich (citrus & berries) and vitamin E-rich nuts is are ideal.
